Our wooden plates are not suitable for use in the dishwasher. Luckily, bamboo is naturally antibacterial so hand washing with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth is all you need.
Avoid saturating the plates with water when cleaning, and allow to air dry. Whenever possible, remove the silicone ring to allow all areas to completely dry before next use.
Handle with care. This may seem like an obvious one, but falls and knocks can damage the wood, causing it to crack or split and may render it unsafe for use.
Applying a food-safe oil will keep the wood supple and moisturised. As a natural product, wood can become dry and scaly if left exposed to the elements (i.e. water), repeated oil applications will help keep the wood resilient and preserve its natural lustre.
Wooden products should not be used in the microwave. Due to the moisture content, wood can overheat quickly in a microwave which can damage the wood and reduce the lifespan of your product.
Please discontinue use immediately if any signs of damage appear.
